These online databases are being provided free of charge to Sidney Community School through a statewide purchasing consortium through AEA 13.  These products are available for students to use both at school and at home. Contact the school for username & password to access these sites.

 

    EBSCOhost is full-text periodicals, newspapers, and reference tools.  It includes:

            600 periodicals for student research

            270 health-related periodicals

            11,000 photos, maps, flags (Image Collection)

            full-text newspaper articles (national & international)

            thousands of additional biographies, books, pamphlets

 

    AP Images is a comprehensive database of Associated Press photos from

        the 1840's to the present.  It includes:

            over 500,000 photos

            over 500,000 audio clips accessible with Real Player

            thousands of graphics, maps, and charts

            700,000 short articles containing information about events as they happen

 

    iClipart is a school edition of clipart with over 7.8 million images.

 

    Accuweather is customized, accurate weather information for anywhere on Earth.  

    It includes current conditions, satellite information, 15-day forecast, real-time local

    Doppler radar.

 

    World Book Web online contains all the articles from all 22 volumes in the print set, plus thousands of additional articles, pictures, videos, & sounds.

 

    DE (United) Streaming is educational video on-demand.  It has 2,600 videos, 26,000 video clips, 2,500 images, and more.

 

    SIRS Researcher provides general reference database with targeted resources for student research.

 

    Atomic Learning provides web-based software training for more than 110 applications students use every day through short, easy-to-view and understand tutorials.

Learn360 provides video, video clips, and audio clips specifically designed for schools and students from PBS, Nova, National Geographic, Sunburst, Slim Goodbody, Arthur, and more.
