Five Sidney Athletes named to Page County Newspaper All-Sports All-Area team
Congratulations to Leighton Whipple (Senior), and Avery Dowling (Sophomore) making the First Team All-Area Team. Leighton starred on the Cowboy's football, basketball and baseball teams. He was a first team all area pick in the Summer and a second team selection in the Winter. Avery was a big part of the Cowgirl's volleyball, basketball, track and field, and golf teams. She was a first team selection on the Winter and Spring all-area teams. Avery was also Sidney's first ever state golf qualifier and finished in the top half of the state field.
Cole Jorgenson (Junior), Kaden Payne (Sophomore), and Cole Stenzel (Junior) was chosen for the Second Team All-Area Team. Cole J. was a standout on Sidney's cross country, basketball, golf, and track and field. He was first team all-area selection in the Winter and was a second team selection in the Fall. Kaden excelled in volleyball, basketball, and softball for the Cowgirls. She was a second team selection on the Fall all-area team. Cole S. was a huge part of the football, basketball, track and field and baseball teams. He was a first team selection to the Summer all-area team. Way to go Cowboys and Cowgirls!
