State FCCLA
Sycily Baker-Hall and Grace Zach competed in State FCCLA on March 27th and 28th. State was held in Cedar Rapids.
Sycily Baker-Hall competed in Job Interview, where she was judged on how she handled and responded to the judges asking her questions. Sycily had to create and display a portfolio providing her resume, recommendation letters, what she wants for a career and how she will achieve her goal, along with much more information about her life. She was then interviewed by the judges about why she wanted said job. Sycily placed 2nd in her category. Good job Sycily!
Grace Zach competed in Leadership, where she was judged on how well she presented her argument on how she is a leader and shows leadership qualities. Grace had to create and provide a portfolio as well, which included her resume, letters of recommendation, her activities she has been involved in, all of the leadership roles she has had, and so much more. Grace presented her judges with her portfolio, then have a speech on how she has shown leadership qualities, her purpose for being there, and why she is so invested in leadership roles, and being a leader. Grace placed third in her category. Good job Grace!
Mr. Johnson was their advisor and took the two girls up to Cedar Rapids and was supportive of the girls and their events!
