Special Olympics Bowling
Over 1,400 people competed in the Iowa Special Olympics Bowling Tournament on Friday, November 21st. The competition took place in several parts of Iowa, with our Sidney athletes competing in Omaha at Maplewood Lanes. Mallari Olson, a tenth grader, took home the gold! Her family and friends were there to cheer her on. Audrey Goodman, an 11th grader, had her own cheering section as she took home a bronze medal. Coming in 5th place was Sophia Bohlen, a seventh grader. This was Sophia's first time competing in the Special Olympics and first time ever going to the State tournament. (Slide show of pictures).
Way to go Cowgirls!
